Are you looking to upgrade your current meter to a smart meter at no cost? Whether you’re using a solar system or simply want precise readings of your power usage for accurate billing (which means no more meter readers visiting your home), follow the quick three-step process below.
Complete our meter application form by clicking the 'Metering Services Request Form' below and select 'Meter Exchange (Same Phase).' Once you submit the form, we will contact your retailer and arrange for a service order. This process typically takes about 5-7 business days.
Once we receive the service order, we will reach out to you to schedule a time for our electrician to install your new smart meter. There’s no need for you to be home, as long as the electrician has full access to your meter. This means you won’t need to take time off work or adjust your busy schedule.
On the day of your appointment, our electrician will arrive at your home, disconnect your power supply, install the smart meter, and then reconnect your power. This process usually takes less than an hour. Your meter will be connected via your National Meter Identifier (NMI) and will automatically send your exact power usage directly to your account. Our electrician will also submit the required Certificate of Electrical Safety.
